Our Structure
Danbury Mission is a church family. We encourage everybody to become involved in helping in some way or other. We have rotas of volunteers to take it in turns to welcome people and give out the Service Sheets, to make coffee after the Service, to put out the chairs, man the creche, etc. Others may choose to help run the Youth clubs or undertake basic maintenance etc.
Partners Handbook
We publish a Partners Handbook which summarises the govenance of the church. Click on the link on the left to download a copy.
Elders & Trustees
The Elders of the Church are also Trustees of the Church and of the Church properties. We have 10 Elders - Simon Medcroft our Pastor, Richard Ambor, Trevor Frost, Robert Goodwin, Andrew Green, Tim Green, Steve Packham, Ron Smith, Geoff Spence and Nick Wood. They bring a wealth of different skills into the church from their secular employment but most importantly work together in giving spiritual leadership to the Fellowship of the church. The Elders are affirmed in their role by the entire church fellowship every 5 years. This was last done in Oct. 2006.

Church Meetings
Church business meetings are held 3 times a year to facilitate dialogue between the Eldership of the church and the main body of the fellowship on key issues. Close consultation is maintained and especially on major projects such as the recent church extension.
Finances
As an independent church we have to rely entirely on donations for all our income - but we also have freedom to decide which causes we support in addition to our ongoing Missionary support.
We do not take collections during our services, but ask that people make a commitment to give regularly to the work of the church through bank standing orders - which also ensures all giving is achieved in the most tax advantageous way. All financial matters are under the supervision of a Finance Committee with Tim Green as Church Treasurer.
