    • Church Holiday Weekend

    Each year we go as a church for a weekend away together. For the last few years we have gone to High Leigh Christian Conference Centre at Hoddesdon in Hertfordshire. By tradition we arrive on the Friday evening, have a guest speaker on the Saturday morning, have the afternoon free for games and other activities, then have a 'talent' show in the evening! The weekend includes times of worship and prayer, a youth programme, creche, and a time for afternoon games or to enjoy as free time. On the Sunday we have a time of praise and worship and a further time of Study. We depart mid afternoon on Sunday arriving back at Danbury fully refreshed ready for the Evening Service! The Church Holiday Weekend is a true family event and provides an ideal opportunity to get to know everyone in our fellowship a little better in relaxing surroundings.

    The Church Weekend in 2008 was held 13-15th June 2008 at High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesdon with our guest speaker Orlando Saer, Minister of Cranleigh Baptist church, speaking on Eternity. Recordings were made of his talks and can be heard on-line here

    A Church Weekend away was not held in 2009.

    This year's Church Weekend was held 25-27th June 2010 when our speaker was Rico Tice, Associate Minister at All Souls Church, Langham Place, London, speaking on "Training for Evangelism". Copies of his talks were recorded and can be heard on-line here.
