The Mission

About The Mission

Danbury Mission is an independent Evangelical Church with our beliefs based firmly upon the Bible.

We are a caring Christian fellowship and aim to be a family church with a variety of activities during the week and services every Sunday morning and evening - and we extend a warm invitation for you to join us!

Our main Services are on Sunday morning at 10am and again Sunday evening at 6:30pm. Both services last for about an hour.

The services do not follow traditional patterns of worship - we are not a 'happy clappy' church but formality is kept to a minimum with everyone free to worship in their own way.

We are very much a family church and children are especially welcome at the Morning Service. We all meet together for the first part of the Service before the children and youth go out to their own groups whilst the adults stay together for a time of prayer and praise, and a speaker with a 'teaching' from the Bible.

The music ranges from traditional hymns through to modern praise songs. We have a thriving creche for children under 3 years old, and we have 7 Sunday School classes and 4 youth groups!

After the Services we serve tea, coffee and cold drinks and people are encouraged to stay on and enjoy fellowship as part of a caring family church. The church is continuing to expand with over 250 attending the morning services. In 1993 we made major extensions to the church building. With our increasing numbers and our vision for a growing ministry we completed a programme in June 2005 to extend the church building yet again. Numbers attending continue to grow and now in 2008 we are again contemplating a further extension to the premises!

Meanwhile, give us a try! You will be made most welcome.
