What can you expect from our Sunday services? The first thing is a warm welcome! Our welcome team want to help everyone – especially newcomers – have a positive experience of being at Danbury Mission for the first time. As a Bible-centred church our main focus on Sundays is listening to the Bible explained and applied to contemporary life so that we can all understand how to live in God’s world today and enjoy a personal relationship with him. We also include a mixture of traditional and contemporary music, led prayers and regular communion services and we use a modern version of the Bible (NIV 11). We are committed to making our services accessible and helpful for anyone wanting to explore the Christian faith and for those already committed to it.
Our morning service begins at 10am and finishes around 11:20am. If you haven't been before our morning service is ideal for your first visit. We offer Sunday school for children aged 3-15 during this service. The way it works is children stay with parents for the first 15 minutes of the service and then go out to age-appropriate groups. We also offer a crèche facility, which is staffed from the time the children leave the main service. Further, we offer a group for adults with special needs called Causeway, which runs concurrent with Sunday school.
Sundays @ 6:30
Sundays@6.30 begins at 6:30pm and finishes around 7:40pm and follows a pattern of 20 minutes praise, 20 minutes preaching, 20 minutes participation. Sundays@630 is for any Christian who wants to grow in their faith. We offer a Sunday night after church meeting (SNAC) for secondary school aged young people, but the morning crèche, Sunday school and Causeway groups are not currently replicated in the evening. We also hold occasional themed prayer meetings after the evening service.
