When God calls us to himself, he also calls us to one another. We believe every Christian should belong to a local church. A bit like signing up to any group, church partnership is signing up to say Danbury Mission is your home church.

The idea of church partnership (or ‘membership’) is deeply Biblical. Whilst there isn’t one chapter all about partnership, the idea is all over the New Testament. The Bible talks about our “partnership in the gospel” (Philippians 1:5), it expects us to be living in meaningful community (Romans 12:4-5, 1 Corinthians 12:21-26), using our gifts to serve others (1 Peter 4:10), and being accountable to a specific group of people (Hebrews 13:17, Matthew 18:15-17, Acts 20:28). Church partnership is how you move from ‘Danbury Mission is the church I attend’ to ‘Danbury Mission is the church family I belong to’.

If you’re interested in making Danbury Mission your home, we run a Partnership Course once a term where we walk through what it looks like to be a church partner and the distinctives of our church. If you’d like to come to the next course, drop us a line below.
