Two women are enjoying ice cream cones outdoors during a sunny day at a park or festival. The woman on the left is elderly with glasses and light-colored hair, wearing a light blue cardigan over a white top with dark stars. The woman on the right has curly dark hair, is laughing, and wears a bright pink top. There are other people and tents in the background, and trees under a partly cloudy sky.

Hi there!

We are Danbury Mission Church. We’re a diverse & joyful community built on the life & love of Jesus. Our mission is to point everyone to Jesus. This website will tell you a bit about us; you can find out about our beliefs, services, and events. But the best thing is to come and see.

We’d love to get to know you too. We look forward to welcoming you at a Sunday service - you’ll find answers to commonly asked questions below to plan your visit. We’d also love to invite you to our next Newcomers’ Tea which we run once a term.

We know visiting a new church can be a daunting experience (especially if you’ve never been to church before or you don’t know anyone yet), so let’s walk it through so you know what to expect.

Commonly asked questions

Our first-time guests are really important to us. As soon as you arrive you’ll be greeted by our parking and welcome team to help you in the right direction and find a seat. Everyone is welcome - you don’t need to look, sound, or dress a certain way - you don’t need to be a ‘churchy’ person or have everything about faith figured out. Here are some commonly asked questions.

If you have any other questions before your first visit - please call or email our office and we’ll be happy to help. Find out more about our vision, beliefs, leadership, and history on our ‘about’ tab.

Got questions about life and faith?

We run a regular course in our coffee shop designed for the curious and open-minded to explore the big questions of life together, and explore the good news of the Christian faith. It’s also a great place to make new friends!

The course is totally free and runs one night a week for 6 weeks where you will learn all the basics of the Christian faith. Each evening has time for chat, content from the front, and questions. (No question is too big or small. You can come with questions or simply come and listen).

We’d love to see you at the next course. Get in touch to get dates for the next course and to sign up.
