Seniors
People of all ages are involved across the whole spectrum of church life. In particular, we encourage everyone, including our senior citizens, to join one of our small groups. For more details of these groups please click here.
However there are a number of services that we offer particularly for senior citizens. These include:
Lunch Club
We offer a weekly lunch club for senior citizens on Thursdays, which includes a two course hot meal, coffee and a ‘thought for the day’. Please contact the church office to check the availability of places.
Women’s Fellowship
Members of the group vary considerably in age but are generally in the 60+ age group and come from a variety of backgrounds and the group is truly interdenominational. Many new people have joined over the years and a warm welcome is guaranteed to anyone wishing to join us.
Meeting take place on Thursdays at 2:30pm. They last about an hour and take the form of a devotional meeting, usually with a 15 minute talk from a visiting speaker, followed by a chat over tea and biscuits. Transport can be provided for everyone who would otherwise have difficulty getting there.
Community worker
We employ a community worker to help the elderly, sick and vulnerable in the community. Please contact the church office if you know someone who would appreciate some help.
